In March 2026, the Universidad CEU San Pablo hosted the awards ceremony for the V Pablo Palazuelo Competition, an established academic initiative within the CEU Higher Polytechnic School that links architectural education with the artistic legacy of Pablo Palazuelo.

The ceremony took place during the celebration of Saint Joseph’s Day, one of the most important events in the institution’s academic calendar, in which the best projects developed by students throughout the course are recognized.

An competition that unites art and architecture

The Pablo Palazuelo Competition has become a teaching initiative that invites students to reflect on urban space through the artist’s visual language. Organized in collaboration with the Fundación Pablo Palazuelo, the competition proposes experimental exercises where geometry, abstraction, and architectural thinking converge.

Continuing previous editions, the competition is integrated into urban planning courses within the Architecture degree, encouraging project-based research and the exploration of new models of the city.

A recognition of emerging talent

The awards ceremony represents a recognition of students’ talent and capacity for experimentation, as well as the university’s commitment to an education that connects artistic and technical disciplines.

With the V Pablo Palazuelo Competition, Universidad CEU San Pablo reaffirms its commitment to integrating art and architecture into the educational process, consolidating a space where creativity and urban reflection play a leading role.

From the Foundation, we thank all students for their participation and congratulate the winners of this edition.
