IV Pablo Palazuelo Competition at the Escuela Politécnica Superior of Universidad San Pablo CEU

The Escuela Politécnica Superior of Universidad San Pablo CEU (EPS), together with the Fundación Pablo Palazuelo, organized the IV PABLO PALAZUELO COMPETITION. This competition was launched for students of the Architecture Degree within the course Diseño Urbano II, in accordance with the collaboration agreement and the aims of the Foundation regarding the preservation and dissemination of the artist’s work.

How can one draw an ideal city?

From the perception of urban spaces in classical utopian narratives to the most imaginative proposals of the twentieth century, an evolution can be observed in the representation of ideal cities.

Students were required to select one of the Pablo Palazuelo works chosen for the competition and, based on it, develop a utopian city project. They had complete freedom regarding location, time period, scale, and graphic representation.

It is worth noting that the selected works formed part of the exhibition held at the ICO Museum, “Pablo Palazuelo. La línea como sueño de arquitectura”.

Congratulations to the talented students who reflected the diverse visions of their utopian cities. A big round of applause for all of them!
