The current exhibition presents a fascinating immersion into Pablo Palazuelo’s Geometric Method, a leading figure of Geometric Abstraction in Spain.
Featuring works from the Museum’s collection and other iconic pieces by the artist, the exhibition invites viewers to explore the expressiveness of geometric compositions projected into space, a rational pursuit in contrast to the emotional perception of Informalism.
The geometric movement aims to transform a two-dimensional space into a three-dimensional one and to recover order in the conception of the artwork. In Palazuelo’s case, his Geometric Method is nourished by the divine perfection he finds in geometric forms.
The exhibition brings together more than 130 works that offer an intimate and detailed view of Palazuelo’s creative process. The selection has been made with great rigor, including sketches, models, drawings, and theoretical writings. The exhibition is structured into five chapters that aim to highlight the methodological connections within Palazuelo’s production.
In short, the exhibition “Pablo Palazuelo: Geometric Method” is a unique opportunity to discover the mysterious creative process of the Spanish artist and to delve into the complex network of relationships that structure his work. A fascinating experience for those who appreciate the beauty of geometry and the search for divine perfection in form.
