The teaching cooperative Lauro Ikastola has developed during this academic year the project “Analyzing Geometric Abstraction”, an activity through which students have sought to search for, record, understand, interpret, and evaluate information related to the use of image structure.
After gathering information, the students of the school created drawings based on geometric abstraction, always placing greater importance on the work carried out throughout the process rather than on the final result, accepting mistakes and learning from them, and recognizing that a question may have multiple answers. To achieve this, they also drew inspiration from the artistic approach of Pablo Palazuelo, to whose artistic career they dedicated a fantastic tribute. The students of the Visual Arts and Design course, from the 3rd year of ESO (secondary education), organized a small exhibition in the hallway featuring the images we share below. Next year’s proposal is: sculpture and space… The Pablo Palazuelo Foundation will continue to closely follow all of the proposals.
