The exhibition will be open to visitors from May 21 to July 24, 2026, at the Blanca de Navarra 9 space and marks the sixth solo exhibition that the gallery has dedicated to the Madrid-born artist.
The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of works created between 1977 and 2003, the final stage of Palazuelo’s career, during which the artist deepened his exploration of geometry, transformation, and the hidden structures of nature. The collection includes four oil paintings on canvas and three sculptures made from materials such as corten steel, stainless steel, and brass.
Developed mainly in his studio in Galapagar, these works reflect an evolution toward greater formal freedom and an increasingly refined visual language. In them, geometry is no longer understood as a closed structure but rather as a dynamic system of continuous transformation, where forms appear to expand and unfold through space with an organic and balanced tension.
The exhibition allows visitors to explore some of the main lines of research that shaped Palazuelo’s work from the 1950s onward: geometric abstraction, the spiritual dimension of form, the inherent energy of space, and the relationship between art and nature. Special significance is given to the sculptural work developed from the late 1970s onward, in which the artist translated into three-dimensional volume the geometric processes present in his painting.
Among the exhibited pieces are sculptures such as Días de Junio V, version 1 (1990), Campo I (2002), and the Maquette for the sculpture “Miroir de formes” (1990), alongside paintings such as Circino XXII (2003), Virtus Marin IV (1995), and Onda V (1992–1995).
With this exhibition, the Galería Cayón reaffirms its commitment to promoting the work of Pablo Palazuelo, one of the key figures of Spanish and international 20th-century abstraction.
